CorrectVery closeCloseWrong
Very close / Close – distance: under 500 / 1,200 km; population: within about 12% / 40%, a little more generous for big cities; elevation: relative to the height – tighter for low-lying cities, more margin for high-lying ones; founded: relative to the city's age – more margin for older cities.
Country:Very close means a neighboring country – a shared land border or a fixed link such as a bridge or tunnel (Copenhagen–Malmö).
Clues & Arrows
For Population, Elevation, and Founded year, arrows will point you in the right direction. ↑ means the target city's value is higher/later, and ↓ means it's lower/earlier. For Distance, the compass needle points towards the target city!
Population covers the whole urban area (GHSL 2025; national figures in sparsely built countries and for smaller towns). Founded is the first recorded urban phase according to Wikipedia; estimated years are marked “c.”. Spotted a mistake? Write to [email protected].
